Finals week begins with door decorating contest, dress up days

Winter break begins Friday, Dec. 18 for students and lasts through Monday, Jan. 4. School will resume on collaboration bell schedule.

Semester exams will take place Wednesday, Dec. 16-Friday, Dec. 18. Winter festivities begin Monday, Dec. 14 with the door decorating competition and the first dress-up day, Jingle Bells Day.

Students can wear their holiday bling Monday, including masks, socks and accessories. Tuesday, Dec. 15 is Spirit of the Season Day, with students advised to wear red and green, followed by Festive Flannel Day Wednesday, Dec. 16 for students to wear their favorite flannel, and Deck the Halls Day, where students will wear their favorite holiday T-shirt, on Thursday, Dec. 17. Friday, Dec. 18 will conclude the seasonal dress up days with National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.

Additionally, classes competing in the door decorating contest will be judged on Monday after homeroom. Participating classes must email three photos of the door to Student Council sponsor Kimberly Sharber at [email protected]. The first, second and third place classes will receive donuts.
