Coffee Memorial Blood Center honors CHS

To award Canyon’s dedication to saving lives with blood donations, on February 19, 2026 at the Coffee Memorial Blood Center’s annual award dinner, CHS received two awards.

For CHS’ commitment to saving lives by encouraging students to leave their classes and donating at the blood drives, the awards given include: ‘Most Critical Blood Award’ for 67% O-type donations, and the ‘2025 Blood Drive Collection Stand Out’ for 183 donations during 2025, which resulted in 549 lives saved.

Hola, I’m Emma! I’m a junior and this is my second year here on the newspaper staff and my third in the journalism program. This year I have the honor of being the editor-in-chief of the paper and being able to share y’alls stories and accomplishments. Outside of the journalism program, I do Spanish and theatre, and I take kickboxing outside of school. A little bit about me is that I love writing, listening to music (my current favorite artist Laufey), The Legend of Zelda and I’m a huge book lover as well as a frequent iced coffee drinker. If I’m not in the journalism room you’ll probably find me hanging out with my friends, or getting a coffee from Journey Coffee to power me through the day. I’m so happy to be bringing the news to y’all this year and I am so excited to see what this year will bring!

Aloha amigos! I’m Berkli Robinson! I am a sophomore, and this is my second year in the journalism program. I am involved in Student Council, ASL Honors Society, musical crew, powerlifting, and secretary of my class. I have a new obsession about every 2 weeks.
