Band completes preliminary performance at State UIL Marching Contest
The Soaring Pride Band competes Tuesday, Nov. 3 in the Alamodome in San Antonio during the preliminary round of the State UIL Marching Contest.
The Soaring Pride band competed in the preliminary round of the State UIL Marching Contest at 7:45 a.m. this morning in the Alamodome in San Antonio. Principal Tim Gilliland traveled to San Antonio to watch the band compete and said after the preliminary performance he was very proud of the band and the directors.
“They knocked it out of the dome,” Gilliland said. “They really did. It was a truly great performance.”
Bands qualifying for the final round will be notified later today, and the finals performances for 5A bands will begin at 10 p.m. tonight.
