Volleyball team plays Amarillo High, prepares for district
The volleyball team practices first period in preparation for their game against Amarillo High.
The volleyball team will play Amarillo High Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in Canyon. The team currently has five wins and four losses. Their last game against Dalhart ended in a straight-set win.
Junior Lauren Bell said she is confident about the team’s defense for the game.
“We’ve been preparing a lot at practice,” Bell said. “I think that if we can keep up our defense then we’ll definitely be able to take them.”
The team begins district play against Lubbock Estacado Sept. 28 at home.
