Boys golf wins Hereford tourney
The boys golf team won the Hereford Invitational last weekend with a team total of 591 over both rounds. Team members included seniors Braxton Sides, Ben Gilliland, junior Christian Bazaldua, sophomores Andrew Brewer and Max Mitchell.
Sides placed first with a total of 140, and led Canyon to first place overall. Gilliland placed sixth with a score of 149 for the weekend.
“We put together two good rounds as a team,” Gilliland said. “This gives us confidence for the rest of the year.”
