Senior Travis McMorrough won the The Eagle’s Tale March Madness Challenge, which scored him a new basketball and a bag of sports snacks.

Senior Travis McMorrough scored 980 points in the Eagle’s Tale March Madness Challenge through the national semifinals and won a basketball and bag of snacks for accumulating the most points in the challenge.

McMorrough correctly predicted Louisville and Michigan to make the Final Four and advance to the national championship game, where he chose Louisville to win its first national title since 1986. He will finish with 1300 points if the Cardinals win tonight.

Thanks to all students who participated in the contest. If you would like to see your bracket against what really happened and/or want to take it with you, come by room 1305. All brackets were marked up to keep score and determine who was still in contention. Scores are on the back of all entries and break them down between each round of the tournament.

Tune in to CBS tonight for tip-off at 8:23 PM to watch the No. 1 tournament seed Louisville Cardinals take on the No. 4 South Region seed Michigan Wolverines for the 2013 national championship.

Trevor Ferril, Associate Editor
I am Trevor Ferril, senior and associate editor for this year’s Eagle’s Tale staff. This will be my third and final year on staff and my second as an editor. Right now, my interests include most of my classes, mafia (the game), videogames, music, UIL academics, Science Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. I don’t like any other NFC East team, the Angels, the Yankees, death metal, most rap, most FPS games and some of the things I read in English class ("Tale of Two Cities" I’m looking at you) I’m also involved in the school’s varsity choir, Leo Club and will be the senior class treasurer. If you need me, I’ll be around. And don’t worry too much about tomorrow because today has its own worries.
