The world at the scan of a fingertip with the ability to fit in your pocket.

Apple announced two days ago that its new devices will go on sale Sept. 20. Apple has launched its new iPhone 5s, along with a cheaper version of the previous phone, the iPhone 5c. Also, the new operating system, the iOS 7, will be readily available with the launch of the phones.

The new iPhone 5s will have be a new A7 processor chip, a new 8 megapixel rear camera, a new FaceTime HD camera and oval True Tone flash. It will also introduce a new color, gold, to go along with its slightly changed colors, silver and space gray. It will include a new security system, in which one can just swipe a finger to unlock the phone. This new fingerprint sensor will be located on the home button for super-fast access. The hard drives will start at 16Gb and move all the way up to 64Gb. The device will start at $200 with a new contract and will not be available for preorder.

The brand new iPhone 5c stands for the iPhone 5 Color. This device will be half the price of the iPhone 5s. This smart phone will have A6 processor chip, 4 inch Retina display at 326 ppi, 8 mega pixel rear side camera, FaceTime HD camera, all of which will be encased in a polycarbonate colored shell. Essentially, it is a step in between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s for a lower price. The colors of the iPhone 5c include blue, yellow, green, white and pink. This iPhone will be half the cost of the new version, only $100 with a new contract, and will be available for preorder on Sept. 13.

Apple has released the operating system iOS 7 alongside its new smart phones. This operating system beta was released this summer to work out bugs. Along with a new smoother, sophisticated look, the iOS 7 will have an easy to use Control Center at the swipe of a finger.  The iOS 7 will also come with a brand new feature to iPhones, the AirDrop. This feature will allow users near each other to send photos, videos and files in their area with one simple step.

The new Mac Pro, released a few months ago on the Apple webpage, has been completely redesigned on the inside and out. This Mac, in a newly designed cylinder shape, will have twice the processor power that fills up 12 cores. It also has a GPU performance of 7 teraflops and 60GB/s memory bandwidth. However, this Mac Pro does not yet have a release date.

This one time, in Australia… Hello everyone! My name is Josh Collins, and I am an associate editor. I am a senior at Canyon High and am involved with several clubs and organizations. I am the president of Key Club, the president of National Honors Society, and am involved heavily with the American Sign Language Honor Society. I am also in the PRO program as well as the CHS End It movement. This summer I took a trip to Australia to attend a week long program at the University of Melbourne for the Young Leaders Winter Program. It was the best trip of my life, it opened my eyes to many cultural differences, and I loved every second. I also worked this summer at Ceta Canyon Methodist Church and Retreat Center. It was my second year working there and was an amazing experience. If I’m not at home napping, I am probably at Sonic or the movies. I love sushi, music, the ocean and writing! I especially love writing entertainment review and features. For college, my dream is to return to the University of Melbourne.
