The Coaches vs. Cancer game will be tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the large gym to raise money for Coach Guy Crenshaw and his family in support of his recent diagnosis with cancer.

The girls’ varsity basketball game against Randall starts at 6 p.m., and the boys’ varsity game is against Monterey at 7:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the gate, and a plate will be passed around at the end of the first quarter of the boys’ game. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Crenshaw for his trip to MD Anderson in Houston.

“There will also be a bake sale that the mothers of the boys and girls basketball teams are putting on,” head girls basketball coach Joe Lombard said.

The girls’ varsity basketball game is the district opener.

“We hope to have a great crowd and do our best to help the Crenshaw family,” Lombard said.

Kori Adair, Co-Editor-in-Chief
¡Hola! My name is Kori Adair, and I am a senior at Canyon High. This is my second year to serve on the newspaper staff, and I will be filling the position of Co-Editor-in-Chief alongside Cortlyn Dees.  Outside of newspaper, I will also be participating in the school musical, the One Act play, and choir.  I enjoy reading, witty banter, and attempting to make fancy beverages. I want to major in chemistry at Baylor University after graduation.  I am beyond thrilled to be on the newspaper staff again, and I know we’re going to have a fantastic year!
