Morning glory leads into night light as students rally at the pole

Student organizers will host “See You at the Pole” at 7:00 am on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the west entrance to the school. The event will kick off a global day of student prayer and last until classes begin. All students are invited to attend. The theme of the event is “Awaken” and comes from Ephesians 3:14-21.

“We are really excited because we are expecting a lot of people to turn out this year,” senior Jessica Moore said. “We are hoping to get more students to be confident in what they believe at school.”

That night at 7, Pinnacle Community Church at 7200 Arden Road will host a rally, “Saw You at the Pole,” for students in the Amarillo metropolitan area. During the rally, the hosts will raffle off an Apple iPad 2 from tickets distributed at each school’s morning prayer.

Trevor Ferril, Associate Editor
I am Trevor Ferril, senior and associate editor for this year’s Eagle’s Tale staff. This will be my third and final year on staff and my second as an editor. Right now, my interests include most of my classes, mafia (the game), videogames, music, UIL academics, Science Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. I don’t like any other NFC East team, the Angels, the Yankees, death metal, most rap, most FPS games and some of the things I read in English class ("Tale of Two Cities" I’m looking at you) I’m also involved in the school’s varsity choir, Leo Club and will be the senior class treasurer. If you need me, I’ll be around. And don’t worry too much about tomorrow because today has its own worries.
