Gadhafi regime hits dead end

Gadhafi regime hits dead end
Luis Sinco

Moammar Gadhafi, the man who held power over Libya with corruption and tyranny for 42 years, has finally been eliminated. The citizens of Libya  rose up and fought a long and costly revolution. For almost a year some Libyans have dropped their jobs and joined the rebellion to rid their country of the unjust leader. Gadhafi led many vicious assaults upon his own people. Events such as firing upon civilians with anti-air guns and shooting worshipers near mosques stunned the world.

He was captured by rebellious forces on Oct. 20 in his hometown of Sirte. Contradicting stories of the circumstance of his death include at least two theories. In the first, Gadhafi was wounded by a NATO air strike then taken by the rebels and died from his wounds. According to officials the more likely story is that he was captured by the rebels and executed.
