AP testing to continue in May
May 6, 2015
Juniors and seniors will continue AP testing for college credit through May 13 at different locations.
The Calculus, English IV, Physics I, Physics II, Spanish and Computer Science tests will take place this week of testing. The Biology, English III and Statistics will be the following week. Students need to be aware of testing dates, locations and times as they vary for each test.
“The AP college board website has a complete list of concepts that students need to be familiar with,” AP physics teacher Tara Sloan said. “The AP college board website also offers reviews and problems for students to use. Students must come into the AP physics test with the mentality that everyday is a preparation day for the AP test.”
Sloan suggests students taking the tests to read through the test three times.
“The first time you read through the test, answer everything you know for sure,” Sloan said. “Circle the ones you might know and put a square around those that you have no idea on. The second time you read through the test, concentrate on the circled questions and make your best educated guess. Maybe you’ve answered other questions that will help you with these. The third time you read through the test, concentrate on the squared questions. Make your best educated guess, but do not leave them blank. There is no penalty for wrong answers.”
