Alizae Reveles

Alizae Reveles, Yearbook Staff

Hello everyone! My name is Alizae and I am a senior this year. I enjoy reading, writing, and taking pictures. I am a four-year journalism kid who has been both on the newspaper and yearbook staff, but in the end, I chose yearbook. When I am not working on the yearbook or practicing UIL editorial writing, you can find me wrestling, running on the track, or listening to music with my two favorite people. As a tiny human, I naturally love food and have a particular taste for cherry pop-tarts, tres leches cake, and homemade sweet bread (basically all things that are not good for a wrestler.) As a senior, I hope I can be a role model for all of the younger staff members and a kind ear when they need me. :) <3

Operating Partner Cynthia Rodriguez poses in front of the new Whataburger unit. Rodriguez is happy to get back in the routine of serving the community. “Since its announcement on July 29th, everyone has been waiting for us, and watching us. September 10th is finally here,” Rodriguez said. “I am very excited. I'm happy. I'm ready to get it over with and just become the new place in Canyon, where everybody can come and hang out and receive a friendly smile, a fresh hot meal, and in a timely manner.”

Sophomore Makalyn Lee donates blood at the Winter 2024 Blood Drive. “Donated blood assists in a lot of medical procedures like surgery or after traumatic accidents,” Key Club co-sponsor Lance Culbert said. “One of the things that I did not realize until recently is that blood and platelets are given to a lot of cancer patients that are undergoing chemotherapy because their blood counts go down because of the chemotherapy.”
