Canadian Christian rock band ‘Love & the Outcome’ emerges as new light in America

Word Entertainment

Snow blowing in the freezing wind of Winnipeg, Canada. A thousand mile journey from the top of the world to the Great American Desert. The exchange of cold for heat, home for a bus, and free time for thrilling crowds. This is the story of love and its outcome.

A new band emerged on iTunes last week called “Love & the Outcome.” This Christian rock band from Canada is currently touring with artists such as Francesca Battistelli and The Afters on the Hundred Years tour. Their new single, “He Is With Us,” is their very first song to hit iTunes. This married duo, Chris and Jodi Kleid, incorporates a folk twist into their Christian rock. The Eagle’s Tale staff had a private interview with lead singer Jodi.

“Pinch me,” Jodi said. “I couldn’t ask for anything more. I feel so blessed to be living my dream.”

After their performance, Jodi talked about how happy she was to be celebrating God.

“You guys love Jesus and I love Jesus and my Canadian friends love Jesus,” Jodi said. “You guys came to worship and kinda like rock out, so the concert was great!”

Originating in Canada, Jodi and Chris have worked their way to Nashville where they were picked up by the record label Word Entertainment.

“There have been a few changes,” Jodi said. “I’ve had to drop the ‘eh’ and add the ‘y’all’, but I stepped out of the bus and the weather was perfect!”

During the concert, Jodi expressed her gratitude to God for bringing her and her husband together.

“We were both in separate bands when we started and hardly saw each other,” Jodi said. “I feel like God really brought us together. So now we’re going to just keep going and as many doors as He opens we’ll keep going.”

This one time, in Australia… Hello everyone! My name is Josh Collins, and I am an associate editor. I am a senior at Canyon High and am involved with several clubs and organizations. I am the president of Key Club, the president of National Honors Society, and am involved heavily with the American Sign Language Honor Society. I am also in the PRO program as well as the CHS End It movement. This summer I took a trip to Australia to attend a week long program at the University of Melbourne for the Young Leaders Winter Program. It was the best trip of my life, it opened my eyes to many cultural differences, and I loved every second. I also worked this summer at Ceta Canyon Methodist Church and Retreat Center. It was my second year working there and was an amazing experience. If I’m not at home napping, I am probably at Sonic or the movies. I love sushi, music, the ocean and writing! I especially love writing entertainment review and features. For college, my dream is to return to the University of Melbourne.
