Canyon High School has fundraised for the High Plains Food Bank for a number of years.

Student Council will continue to collect canned food and funds for the High Plains Food Bank through Nov. 22. Each dollar donated provides four meals for those in need.

The second period class with the most food collected at the end of the drive wins a donut party and the second period class with the most funds raised will earn a pizza party. Winners will be calculated based on the percentage of cans and money per class, as long as there is a minimum of $100 or 100 cans donated.

The same class can win both prizes. Teachers of the winning classes will also receive $50 gift cards to a Canyon business of their choice. Those with questions may contact StuCo sponsor Kimberly Sharber at [email protected].
