A final farewell from the former co-editors-in-chief
Over the past year, we led The Eagle’s Tale staff as co-editors-in-chief. Friends since the second grade, we were reunited after years of different classes and schedules through The Eagle’s Tale publication. 49,967 people we impacted in one way or another through The Eagle’s Tale
In the 2013-2014 school year, we have had a phenomenal increase in readership with 49,967 page views. All we can say now is thank you. Thank you to our readers, the students who inspired a new story every day and the amazing staff that will continue to report for The Eagle’s Tale.
Twelve members of the 2014-2015 Eagle’s Tale Staff
In the upcoming year, we believe that you will continue to share the stories inside the walls of Canyon High School, and invest your time and effort to giving each Canyon Eagle a voice.
One journalism adviser who has been there through it all
From the day we walked in to Room 1305 for the first day of Journalism I class to the day we will walk the stage, she has stood beside us. She has supported us in everything we’ve done from UIL journalism to participating in the all-school musical. She is our number one fan, our mom at school, UIL coach and most of all, our lifelong friend. Thank you Mrs. Smith.
Ourselves, the two former co-editors-in-chief of The Eagle’s Tale
As we spread our wings to Baylor University and the University of Arkansas, we will continue to support the publication we had the privilege to shape. We are thankful for the bond we have shared through this website, and look forward to maintaining that bond over the span of 425 miles.
So as we close our last post on The Eagle’s Tale, we could not think of anything more fitting than the words of the great journalist Edward R. Murrow, “Good night and good luck.”
