Hey everybody! My name is Cortlyn Dees, and I am a junior here at Canyon High School. I am the Editor-In-Chief of The Eagle’s Tale this year and will also be covering sports again this year. I am beginning my second year on staff and am very excited to bring y’all fast and accurate news and sports. Outside of newspaper, I am a varsity cheerleader, involved in American Sign Language Honor Society and a member of the UIL journalism team. I love Pure Water tea, the Texas Rangers, NCIS and am obsessed with houndstooth (showcased in my staff photo). I am blessed with an amazing group of friends and supportive family, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. My dream job will be to one day become a sideline reporter for ESPN or any major sports network. I’m looking forward to an exciting year on staff, and I’ll see y’all on the field…or the court…the course…or the track!
