Cross country teams advance to regionals
The girls’ and boys’ varsity cross country teams will advance to regionals Oct. 31 in Lubbock after competing at district Oct. 11. The varsity boys placed first overall with a total of 21 points, and the varsity girls placed third with 58 points.
On the varsity course, sophomore Angel Hayden came in third place followed by freshman Ayse Allison in fifth place. For the boys, junior Treet Allison placed first, sophomore Dylan Knight placed second and junior Joseph Trevino placed fourth.
Both girls’ and boys’ junior varsity teams completed their season placing first overall, with 20 points for the boys’ and 32 points for the girls’. Senior Braden Hollis came in first, followed by senior Trevor Fleeman in second. For the girls, sophomore Emma Hughes placed third.
