Junior Isaac Garland rushes into the end zone against the Palo Duro Dons Nov. 8.

The varsity football team completed the regular season 10-0 Friday night with a 38-7 win over Palo Duro. Canyon will face Hereford at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium Friday night at 7 in the bi-district playoff game.

“We’ve had a good season,” junior receiver and corner Cade McCallie said. “We’ve come out every game and have been ready to play, and we need to keep doing that.”

The Eagle’s win over the Dons gave head coach Blake Bryant his 100th career win.

“It was really cool to be a part of his 100th win,” McCallie said. “He’s really humble and really motivating.”

Canyon previously defeated Hereford 47-7 Sept. 20 in their fourth game of the season.

“I think Hereford will be better than the last time we played them,” McCallie said. “We can’t underestimate them and we have to come out like we haven’t played them before.”
