Baseball to play Lubbock Cooper Saturday

The varsity baseball team will play Lubbock Cooper in Lubbock Saturday to conclude their regular season before they gear up for the playoffs.

Senior pitcher Grant Glaze said the team has gone by quickly.

“We haven’t played our best yet,” Glaze said. “We hope to get the momentum going this weekend and keep it going through June 5.”

Trevor Ferril, Associate Editor
I am Trevor Ferril, senior and associate editor for this year’s Eagle’s Tale staff. This will be my third and final year on staff and my second as an editor. Right now, my interests include most of my classes, mafia (the game), videogames, music, UIL academics, Science Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. I don’t like any other NFC East team, the Angels, the Yankees, death metal, most rap, most FPS games and some of the things I read in English class ("Tale of Two Cities" I’m looking at you) I’m also involved in the school’s varsity choir, Leo Club and will be the senior class treasurer. If you need me, I’ll be around. And don’t worry too much about tomorrow because today has its own worries.

Jessica Moore, Staff Reporter, Yearbook Associate Editor
Hello, my name is Jessica Moore. I am a senior and this is my first year on staff.  I joined the staff because of my love for technology and the awesome teacher, Mrs. Smith.  I am in color guard in band and put much of my time into working hard and winning hard. Outside of band I spend most of my time with church, family and yearbook.  I’m a girl who stands firm in my beliefs and won’t bend them for any situation.  I love to be fun and crazy in a responsible way.  In my future I want to become a missionary and grow up to be a role model for someone.  I hope you enjoyed spending some bonding time with me. Tata for now.
Rachel Smith, Yearbook Co-Editor-in-Chief
Hello! I am co-editor-in-chief of Soaring Wings, Canyon High's yearbook. I am co-president of choir, secretary of National Honor Society, president of Palo Duro 4-H Club and am involved in Key Club, musical, Drama Club, the all-state choir process and UIL academics. I love worship music, sock monkeys, Coca-Cola, Disney movies and font puns.
