Students and faculty will participate in a district wide safety day Friday, Aug. 25.

The day will start out with an evacuation/fire drill during activity period. Third period will include a lock-out, followed by a lockdown drill in sixth period. The drills will conclude with a severe weather drill seventh period. Assistant Principal Blake Hurst oversees the safety drills and said the drills and safety precautions have not changed since last year.

“Every administrator, teacher and office personnel play an integral role when it comes to our safety procedures,” Hurst said. “We will ensure that safety in our school is the number one priority for our administrators and staff.”
