The Student Council is promoting dress-up days scheduled for Monday, April 3 to Friday, April 7 to raise money for those affected by the recent fires throughout the Panhandle. Donation jars are available in the front office and rooms 1208 and 1203.

The dress-up days are themed after decades, with Monday being 50s, Tuesday the 60s and 70s, Wednesday the 80s, Thursday the 90s, and Friday the future. Donations are appreciated, but students wanting to dress up are not required to donate.

“We thought about planning this last summer, but we couldn’t ever really find a reason to,” Student Council president Madison LaFont said. “The dress up days are just kind of to make it fun.”

The money donated will go into a savings account to help the fire victims avoid taking out loans to rebuild.

“When people stop donating, they’ll have money still that they don’t have to take a loan out for,” LaFont said. “It will help them later.”
