Students in grades six through twelve are now eligible to compete for $500,000 in scholarships and grants through the Lexus Eco Challenge, a STEM contest.

There are three challenges for students to create solutions to environmental issues in their community, which include landfills, deforestation, and water conservation. To earn the scholarships students must win either Challenge 1 or Challenge 2 and proceed to Challenge 3.

Entries for Challenge 1 are due by Oct. 16 and anyone may register.  Registration for Challenge 2 opens on Oct. 17 and closes Dec. 11. Finalists from these challenges will be invited to Challenge 3 where they will compete for the scholarships.
