Ode to flannel
Soft red, stripes of yellow and blue, two pockets with buttons… my beloved flannel shirt.
I’ve never believed in the power of comfort clothes. Comfy equals ugly and makes a person feel even worse about him or herself. However, I just bought a shirt yesterday that rocked my judgment.
Flannel is pretty much the best of the best in comfort. I feel like I’m enveloped in a hug and in style. Even though my huge red shirt completely contradicts my regular well-groomed style, I feel just as confident as ever and pretty comfortable as well. Plus, flannel speaks of Christmas, winter and all things wonderful.
Anytime I’m feeling down, I’ll pull out my one article of comfortable clothing and brighten my day. It might sound a little lame, but never underestimate the power of attire.
