Students who plan to attend the semi-formal Homecoming Masquerade Ball in the high school commons must purchase tickets for $10 on My Payments Plus by Friday. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the dance will end at 10 p.m.

“When you pay on My Payments Plus, your name is put into a spreadsheet automatically,” Student Council sponsor Kimberly Sharber said. “You’re not getting a physical ticket. We’re asking everybody to pay ahead of time so at 7, people can just show their ID, get highlighted off the list and walk right in.”

Profits made will go toward the school and the United Way Youth Leadership Cabinet, which the student council was invited to join. Students opted to hold a Homecoming Ball instead of a Winter Social.

“Last year, there were a few students that really wanted to have a homecoming dance,” Sharber said. “Lots of kids were on board for it, so I talked with our StuCo group this year, and we decided on a theme. For years now at prom, kids have wanted a masquerade, so when I threw that out to the student council kids, they loved it.”
