“It’s about a young man who wants to be a Broadway star, but his parents want him to be a banker,” theater arts teacher and director David Yirak said. “They send him out to a place called Deadrock, Nevada to foreclose on a property, which happens to be a theater, and of course he falls in love with the owner’s daughter and complications ensue, but true love wins out in the end.”

Major roles include Broadway hopeful Bobby Child, spunky “All-American Girl” Polly Baker and New York theatrical producer Bela Zangler.

“It’s an upbeat, very funny script,” Yirak said. “The music is wonderful. It’s got a lot of humor in it and the music is by Gershwin. It’s very pretty and fun.”
