Choir to perform Christmas concert Monday
The choirs will perform their annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18 at Canyon High School.
Audience members will see four choirs perform and will be led in Christmas carols by choir members between each set. Choir director Brandon Farren said the audience will see everything from early chant music and antiquity to fun and modern Pentatonix arrangements.
“It’s a lot of fun,” Farren said. “It’s one of my favorites, because it’s a good experience for the community. As opposed to the audience just sitting watching a concert, they’ll stand and get to sing along with the choirs.”
The event will be followed by a reception of cookies and punch in the lower commons.
“It’s like we’re all just a big family getting together on Christmas Eve,” Farren said. “It’s a fun night and a fun way to celebrate the season.”
