The CHS ACT Boot Camp will be Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the auditorium.
Juniors and seniors can sign up in the Counseling Center. The deadline to register is Oct. 11, and the cost is $45.
“It gives test taking strategies as well as time management strategies,” school counselor Kristin Vincent said. “The research shows that if the student can do those things, it improves their scores enough that it might mean the difference between getting into a certain college or getting a certain scholarship.”
Experts recommend that the students take the practice test so they understand what is being taught.
“It is worth it, because normally, this would cost around a few hundred dollars. Vincent said. “We’re getting it for $45, so the school pays a good amount of that money. You can’t really get this deal anywhere else, so if you can fit this into your schedule, it’s a really good buy.”
