Red Ribbon Week begins Oct. 26
Students may dress up Oct. 26 through Oct. 30 to encourage a drug-free lifestyle for National Red Ribbon Week.
The dress-up days include: Red Day on Monday, Texas Day on Tuesday, Twin Day on Wednesday, Disney Character Day on Thursday and Give Drugs a Scare Day on Friday when students can wear Halloween costumes. Students must follow dress code for every dress-up day.
Red Ribbon Week was inspired by the death of a DEA agent and his wife’s goal to speak to others about drug prevention. Red Ribbon Week is the last week of every October.
Canyon High School students can say “hugs not drugs” while giving to children in need by donating new or gently used stuffed animals in the bin outside the front office until Oct. 30.
