The American Sign Language Honor Society will host a book fair Saturday, Dec. 8 at Barnes and Noble in Amarillo. The fair lasts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the ASLHS will put on Christmas songs in ASL throughout the day with an acoustic guitar and brass ensemble. The students will also wrap gifts for customers, perform a children’s story translated in ASL at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and Santa Claus will visit the store at 2 p.m.
Customers who want to contribute to the fundraiser need to tell the cashier that their purchase is for the book fair. All proceeds will go to the ASLHS.
