Band to host winter concert today, Dec. 18
The bands will perform a free concert for the public Thursday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
The concert will feature performances from the honor band, symphonic band, jazz bands and an ensemble consisting of members of the honor band percussion section. Before the concert begins, members from the brass section will perform Christmas music for guests as they arrive.
“The music is really unexpected,” senior Tanner Fleeman said. “It’s not typical Christmas music, but it sounds really good and festive. But then we always get to play ‘Sleigh Ride,’ which is nearly everybody’s favorite piece.”
