Homecoming week begins Monday, Sept. 30.

Students will celebrate homecoming week Sept. 30- Oct. 4. Dress up days will highlight the week, beginning with color war day on Monday.

Each class is assigned a particular color to wear: seniors to purple, juniors to white, sophomores to red, and freshman to blue. Tuesday will feature an ’80s flashback theme, Wednesday will be Athletes vs Mathletes, Thursday will be Country vs Country Club, and Oct. 4 will be purple pride. Costumes must fit within dress code.

The homecoming parade will initiate Thursday night events at 5 p.m. at the University Church of Christ. Trophies will be awarded to those with the best float and the most enthusiastic group. The parade will end at CHS, where the band boosters will sell boxed burger dinners for $5.

The powderpuff game will begin at 7 p.m. on the CHS field. A team of seniors and sophomore will play against juniors and freshman. The homecoming king coronation will commence at halftime.

A purple pride themed pep rally will kick off Friday affairs in the large gym during activity period. The homecoming queen will be announced at 6:30 p.m at Kimbrough Stadium. Finally, the football game against Big Spring will close out the week at Kimbrough at 7 p.m.
