The theme for 2019 prom is around the world.

Prom will take place at the First United Bank Center at 7 p.m. on April 27. Tickets cost $40 and are available on MyPaymentsPlus or in the commons during activity period April 25 or April 26. All students are required to bring their IDs to enter the prom.

Students who are bringing a date who attends school at Canyon High School should email Mrs. Skalsky at [email protected] to notify her of the name of their date. Date approvals for non-CHS students are due by April 24 and Mrs. Snell can provide more information Counseling Center.

“There are two things everyone dislikes about prom,” prom organizer Kimberly Sharber said. “One is waiting in line outside. Number two is not having enough photo areas.”

In order to correct these issues, students are welcome to stand in the foyer. Five photo spots will be available inside the prom with two outside in the waiting area. Valet parking is optional for students.

“The theme is around the world,” Sharber said. “In India, there will a henna tattoo spot. Honestly, the kids are more excited about Mexico than anything else. We will have different activities from country to country. Around the World is really about the food, the music and enjoyment.”

For more information, or for parents interested in helping with prom, Sharber can be contacted at [email protected].
