The varsity baseball team will play the Dumas Demons 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 3 at home.

The team extended their district record to 5-1 after a win against the Demons March 31 which ended with a score of 17-1. Their one loss came from Randall March 27, when the Eagles were defeated 6-2. The Eagles come into their third meeting with the Dumas Demons, with a 2-0 record against the team.

“Our real challenge in district this year will be Randall,” senior and catcher Michael Posada said. “We are Canyon and that means every team we play will give us their best.”

Senior and shortstop Austin Baker said the team will be able to make a strong run during playoffs in May because of the chemistry and heart the team plays with.

“I feel like our season is going really well,” Baker said. “The more we face adversity, the more we respond positively to it. We keep playing harder and harder every game, day in and day out.”
