Girls track claims district title
The varsity girls track team won the district championship last Friday at Randall High School. The Lady Eagles finished with 194.5 points for the meet, more than 50 points higher than the second-place team, Amarillo High.
The top four girls that placed in district will compete at the area meet in Lubbock Wednesday and Thursday. The top four from area will advance to the regional meet April 25 and 26 in Abilene.
“I was extremely happy with the performances we had,” head girls track coach Ray Baca said. “It’s always good to see our kids run their best at the end of the year. If we perform like we have been I believe we will have success at area and regionals.”
