Freshman football ends with winning season
The freshman football team defeated the Palo Duro Dons last night with a score of 31-6 at the CHS football field, ending their season record 9-1.
The Eagles scored early with quarterback Gunnar Palacios earning the first touchdown of the night.
“I feel like we got better as a team throughout the year on offense and defense,” freshman open end Dustin Ray said.
Canyon’s only loss of the season was to Amarillo High Nov. 2.
“We wish we could get AHS back for our only loss,” Ray said.
