The varsity volleyball team completed their district season Tuesday night for ‘Senior Night’ against Palo Duro, defeating the Lady Dons in four sets, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16 and 25-12.
“Against Palo Duro we seemed to be a bit scattered during the first game, but we really turning it up in the next three games and played as a team,” senior Kacie McKee said.
Canyon finished with a 5-5 record in district play this year.
“This season was an overall great season,” McKee said. “We accomplished things people never expected and we really proved ourselves.”
The Lady Eagles will know who their first round playoff opponent is after a tiebreaker game between Hereford and Frenship tomorrow at 1 p.m.
“If we really work hard in practice and put our hearts into it, we could come out on top in playoffs,” McKee said. “I have great expectations for us the next few weeks.”
