“I’ve played soccer since 2011,” sophomore Alexys Thomas said. “I started playing club soccer when I was nine, I played on that team for five years. Then I took a year off to focus on high school soccer. I was on varsity my freshman year, I lettered and I’m still on varsity. This year, I’m playing for a club called 806 United in Amarillo, and this team is really good. They won the Plano division in the platinum bracket of the elite division. Soccer is my life.”
