Department of Transportation to close North 23rd
BNSF Railway will work on the overpass over North 23rd Street Monday. All lanes will be closed during construction.
Drivers who use highway 87 into Canyon should find alternate routes starting Jan. 23. Other entrances to Canyon such as highway 60 to 15th St. or Interstate 27, exit 106 will remain open.
North 23rd Street, which becomes U.S. 87, will be closed in both directions starting Monday so BNSF Railway crews can safely replace the deck of the overpass between United Supermarkets and the Randall County Justice Center.
All lanes will be closed between Russell Long Blvd. and the highway 60 split from Jan. 23-25, and the road will be closed again Jan. 30-Feb. 1.
