Congratulations! You’re in a relationship! We get it. But do you think that it’s important for everyone to know by showing your displays of affection every.single.passing.period?
PDA is not needed in school. There is a time and a place for these kinds of things, and that time and place is not school.
Germs are gross. And there’s no better and more effective way to pass those germs on than making out with your partner during the passing period. Don’t believe us? According to Better Health harmful viruses such as colds, Glandular Fever (Mono), Herpes infection, Hepatitis B, and warts can be carried by exchanging saliva. Better Health also states that bacteria that cause tooth decay and meningococcal disease, a disease that inflames the membranes in your spine and brain, can also be transmitted through droplets in your throat and nasal passages and infected saliva.
Not only are you passing along germs and bacteria, but think of your public image and your reputation! People will not hesitate to label you when you’re making out during passing period. Why would you share such intimate moments with the person you care about in front of your whole school? By making out during the passing period, you’re destroying the way your teachers and peers look at you and the way they view you as a person.
And we understand. Some of you may not be allowed to be in a relationship or have nowhere else to go to share these intimate moments.
But if this is truly the case, we suggest taking it somewhere else outside of the school. Find a more private place outside of the school grounds or try and figure out a time outside of school hours to make out. If you’re in that dire of a situation where you and your partner can’t be together outside of school, call on us and we’ll try and help you. But please, do the smart thing and reconsider your choices. Figure out another place and time to make-out with your significant other. Everyone will thank you.
