Leadership consultant Laura Lopez to speak at WTAMU April 5

The West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) Distinguished Lecture Series and Association for Latino Professionals (ALPFA) will present motivational Hispanic speaker, Laura Lopez, who will speak on “Excellence in Leadership and Entrepreneurship” at the Alumni Banquet Facility at WTAMU 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 5. The presentation is free to the public, and area high school students are invited to attend.

Lopez is the former vice president of The Coca-Cola Company and current CEO of The Living Leadership Learning Institute. She is a performance strategist, leadership specialist and branding expert with more than 20 years of experience serving in leadership positions in the Fortune 100 corporate environment.  Lopez has been mentoring Fortune 100 business leaders across the country through seminars, workshops, trainings and her award-winning leadership books since the early 1980s.

Lopez has a Master of Business Administration degree from The American Graduate School of International Business and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Bucknell University. She also has international business insights given her time in Spain, Mexico, France and Turkey. Lopez has been featured for her leadership experience on the Today Show, Fox News and Women Power Talk Radio, and she regularly publishes management and leadership articles in Leadership Excellence. Magazines and newspapers, including The Houston Chronicle, Latina Magazine, Long Beach Business Journal, and the Central Valley Business Times, have also noted her accomplishments.
