Senior Trevor Glenn, sophomore Christian Theiss and freshman Mitchell Hernandez practice with choir director Brandon Farren for the All-Region Choir concert.

The 18 Canyon students who placed in the All-Region choir will sing in the All-Region concert at the Amarillo Globe News Center Nov. 3 and then compete at Pre-Area auditions Dec. 4.

Following the All-Region auditions at Caprock High School, 12 students from each section continue on to pre-area, where the top five students earn the opportunity to audition for the All-State Choir. Canyon placed 11 students in the top five chairs in the All-Region Choir.

Choir director Brandon Farren said all of the students did a great job and represented Canyon well.

“We couldn’t be more proud of not only the results of the students at the audition, but the work they put in,” Farren said. “Having these kids put in so much work improves their ability to read music and to make music. It’s making them all better musicians.”
