Health sciences students ready for real world: Ten earn Certified Nursing Assistant designation

Ten Health Occupations students took and passed the state CNA exam, earning them the title of Certified Nursing Assistants. Senior Kate Shepherd was recognized as a Commended National Merit Scholar by Principal Jennifer Boren on October 9. “It's an honor, and it's kind of exciting because it'll help a lot with college scholarships, and it's just a good thing to have on your application,” Shepherd said.

Junior, Deegan Scarborough, marches with the band at the homecoming parade. “It was a really long parade, it was really hot, but I had a lot of fun playing with the band and marching and supporting the school,” Scarborough said. “My homecoming was pretty fun. I brought my first date to the homecoming game and it was really fun.”
