The new online newspaper earned first place and best of show honors at the Texas Association of Journalism Educators state convention in San Antonio, Oct. 17-19. More than 800 journalism students from across the state attended the convention where they competed in both carry-in and on-site contests as well as attended workshops and classes.
In addition, Sabrae Precure earned an excellent rating in advertising design and an honorable mention in yearbook photography. Tori Waddell’s yearbook photography earned an superior award while Madison Ferril earned an honorable mention in news writing.
All 4A and 5A students compete together.
