Red Ribbon week to feature dress-up days, presentation by graduate
To promote a drug-free lifestyle, students may dress-up Oct. 28-31 to portray daily themes for Red Ribbon week.
The dress-up days include red day, Hawaiian day, Western/hat day, crazy sock day, and Halloween costume day, each encouraging students to stay away from the harmful effects of drug usage. The Red Ribbon events will end next week with Canyon High graduate Blaze Bulla sharing his story of drug addiction with students.
“It’s a great awareness for our students,” Principal Tim Gilliland said. “We want students to be aware of the negative effects of drugs and use this week as a reminder of that.”
