As the winter draws neigh and the reindeer begin to fly, Canyon will proceed to give winter coats to those in need.
Now through Oct.18 bring all your new or gently used coats to your second period teacher. The speech team will deliver the coats to the Freedom House before they begin their Coat Giveaway on Saturday, October 20. They are accepting coats of all sizes, from infant to adults and hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves are also accepted. Please refrain from bringing any articles of clothing that are too worn out to wear. All of the items will go to many people who are in need in our area.
“As a team we wanted to do something to give back to the community” senior speech and debate president Jayden Beatty said. “We thought the best way to help during this season is to provide warm jackets to those stuck in the cold.”
