EasyBib, an app that automatically cites any book source, is now available in the App Store.
EasyBib is a free Apple app that gives the user a MLA, APA or Chicago style citation after scanning the barcode found on the back of the book or searching the title of the book. The citation can also be emailed to the user.
“It’s a great app for citing research papers,” Librarian Tammy Scarbrough said. “I did discover, though, that you may have to hold your phone a certain way when scanning the barcode.”
EasyBib can be used with Apple products, Android, and Google Apps, but according to the Apple App Store, works best with the iPhone 4.
“Most teachers I have talked to have said that they would have loved having something like this growing up to help them write their research papers,” Scarbrough said.
