Debate to hold CAN-DALL tournament Saturday

The CHS Speech and Debate team will host their annual CAN-DALL tournament Saturday.

Randall and Canyon teamed up to host a swing tournament with Randall hosting Friday and Canyon Saturday. Saturday’s tournament is located at Canyon High and will last all day. The proceeds earned from the tournament go toward team travel and events throughout the year.

Spectators are welcome and volunteers are appreciated. For more information contact team sponsor and coach Stephanie Suto.

Operating Partner Cynthia Rodriguez poses in front of the new Whataburger unit. Rodriguez is happy to get back in the routine of serving the community. “Since its announcement on July 29th, everyone has been waiting for us, and watching us. September 10th is finally here,” Rodriguez said. “I am very excited. I'm happy. I'm ready to get it over with and just become the new place in Canyon, where everybody can come and hang out and receive a friendly smile, a fresh hot meal, and in a timely manner.”

Hello everyone! My name is Jayden Beatty, and I am a senior at Canyon High. I am the associate editor of the Eagles Tale this year! This is my third year on staff and I am excited to bring the students of Canyon High another year of awesome news coverage. Outside of newspaper I am the president of the Canyon High Speech and Debate team, and I am involved in several organizations such as NHS, Key Club, and HOSA. After graduation my plan is to attend college with a degree in political science and a minor in foreign policy. My ultimate goal is to one day be working in the Department of State building in Washington D.C. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends! My favorite activities are reading (usually Harry Potter) and watching movies (again usually Harry Potter). As my last year at Canyon High, I hope to make this one a great one!
