Five students will advance to the state Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition in Houston April 15-17.
Shannon Osburn will advance in Veternary Assisting, Beth Winters in Epidemiology, Veronica Trowbridge in Clinical Specialty, Caitlin Blankenship in Nutrition and Brittany Lowry in Human Growth and Development.
Health Occupations teacher Michele Barton said that the HOSA Club is about community service and medical competitions.
“Heath Occupations Students of America is for students who are interested in going into the medical field,” Barton said.
