“In tryouts, I did cheers and a dance,” junior Jayden Price said. “I am [a] cheerleader.”

“She’s the first student with special needs on the Canyon High cheer team,” special education teacher Anne Skalsky said. “She had to go through the process just like everybody else. Her mom asked about it freshman year, and this year she was determined to let her try. She had to go home every evening and practice. She proved she could learn it and do it, and in three days, she made it through her cheer chant and dance. She really did fantastic.”
