“The girls in my devotional group are my best friends,” junior Lacey Lightfoot said. “In our group, we take turns leading devotionals. A devotional is something where girls who are leading pick a bible verse or a topic that we focus on, and then we ask a lot of questions. It’s more of a conversation, and it really helps having everyone there together. When you have people there, it’s easier to hold yourself accountable to the things that you want to do and the things that you want to get better at. It’s nice to bounce ideas off of each other and have built-in friends that have the same beliefs as you and support you and everything you do. It’s impacted my life because I’m usually not a very outgoing person. It’s been good for me to be able to share my ideas, but then also to get encouragement.”
